A Korean company is reportedly taking actions against the Department of Health (DOH) over the use of their hit KPop song by the agency's public service reminder.
SM Entertainment, a Korean talent agency and record label, said that DOH's "Gaga Girl, Bobo Boy" is a plagiarized music from their song "Rum Pum Pum Pum" performed by f(x).
Korean websites No Cut News and My Daily said in their report that SM Entertainment did not permit the use of the song "Rum Pum Pum Pum" for the DOH's public service video.
An official of SM Entertainment said:
"By no means have we permitted the use of the music, 'Rum Pum Pum Pum.' The original publisher of 'Rum Pum Pum Pum' confirmed that the music used by the Philippines' public service campaign in question is indeed plagiarism, so we already started taking action."
