Filipino-German model Valerie Weigmann won the title of Miss World Philippines 2014 during the coronation night at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday.
Not only did she got the crown, but she also won the Best in Long Gown, Best in Swimsuit and Best in Fashion Runway awards during the night's pageant.
The name may sound unfamiliar to some, but this tall, slim beauty had graced the Philippine televisions for quite some time.
Since 2008
Weigmann, born November 22, 1989, was first seen as a ''PBB: Teen Edition'' contestant in 2008, where actor Ejay Falcon was proclaimed the big winner. She was Falcon's love interest in the reality show.
After being evicted from PBB, she starred in a "Close-Up" commercial portraying a woman who met a guy in a crowd while attending a concert (Moving Closer theme). Several commercials and print ads followed suit.
Then in 2010, she again returned to television and became a guest co-host of the now defunct ABS-CBN noontime show Wowowee.
Later in 2013, she became part of the TV series of TV5, Kidlat starring Derek Ramsay, as villainess Natasha Thorpe/Enigma who seduces and alters her victims' minds.
Earlier this year, she played as co-host of the noontime GMA show Eat Bulaga.
And since she's half-German, she co-owns Manila's first German-Turkish restaurant called "BAMM" located at The Collective, in Makati City.
Miss World Philippines
Weigmann was screened at the Bonifacio Global City and emerged as one of the 26 official candidates of Miss World Philippines 2014, representing the province of Albay during the pageant.
She will represent the Philippines on the upcoming Miss World 2014 which will be held on December 14, 2014 at ExCeL London, London, England .
