Derek Ramsay's estranged wife, Mary Christine Jolly, has just dragged sexy actress Angelica Panganiban into a legal battle.
This after Jolly filed on Wednesday a concubinage complaint against Ramsay and Panganiban at the Paranaque Prosecutor's Office.
Under the law, concubinage is committed when a husband "who shall keep a mistress in the conjugal dwelling, or shall have sexual intercourse, under scandalous circumstances, with a woman who is not his wife, or shall cohabit with her in any other place."
Penalties shall be imprisonment from six months to six years for the husband, and distierro for the mistress. Distierro is a prohibition imposed by a court prohibiting a mistress from getting close to the husband within 25 kilometers for a specified length of time.
In her affidavit, Jolly said she based her complaint after reading a StarStudio magazine article where Panganiban admitted that she and Ramsay lived together on the second year of their relationship.
Jolly said Panganiban's statements in the magazine interview were enough evidence for her to file a complaint.
Jolly and Ramsay were married in 2002 in Balagtas, Bulacan and bore a child. They eventually separated.
But in June 2014, Jolly lodged a complaint against Ramsay for allegedly violating Republic Act No. 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.
She is seeking P42 million in damages for child and spouse support.
