The Apple iPhone 6 Plus became more popular. But in the bad end. A lot of talks abut the phone "bending" and breaking beyond repair spread like wildfire across the web, and some corporate companies took the time to dip their hands on the issue.
Samsung was among the first to hit the newest Apple smartphone and posted a photo on their Twitter account with the accompanying text message, "Curved. Not bent."
Nestle's KitKat came next and said "We don't bend, we break" with a picture of a chocolate bar broken into two.
Heineken beer joined the fray with a tweet and seemed to empathize with the iPhone. The company tweeted a picture of a bent beer bottle cap, saying, "No worries...it happens to us all the time."
LG is a bit more unforgiving. They tweeted a photo with its smartphones flexing and said, "Our phone doesn't bend...it flexes on purpose."
The iPhone 6 Plus "bending" controversy has already earned the monicker, 'bendgate' on social media.
Meanwhile, Apple has issued a statement on Friday and clarified the bending issue saying:
"With normal use, a bend in iPhone is extremely rare and through our first six days of sale, a total of nine customers have contacted Apple with a bent iPhone 6 Plus."
