A wild brawl broke out towards the end of a basketball game between Emilio Aguinaldo College and Mapua during a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) match at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan on Monday.
There were only 28 seconds left in the game when Emilio Aguinaldo College guard John Tayongtong charged into Mapua guard CJ Isit, noted Interaksyon.com.
In response, Mapua player Leo Gabo gave Tayongtong an elbow. Moments later, both benches nearly emptied and the teams were brawling on the court.
All the players were ejected and suspended for one game, except for Mapua's Jessie Saitanan and Emilio Aguinaldo College's Joshua General, who didn't join the fight, reports PhilStar.com.
Game officials declared Emilio Aguinaldo College had won 86-77.--Source: Opposing Views
