Super typhoon Haiyan to impact Philippines

Philippine authorities will evacuate thousands in provinces east of the country ahead of typhoon Haiyan (set to be called "Yolanda" in PH), which may become the strongest cyclone to hit the Southeast Asian nation this year.

Haiyan (Yolanda) will enter Philippine waters tomorrow morning, packing winds of at least 185 kilometers per hour when it lands on the provinces of Samar and Leyte in the afternoon of Nov. 8, state weather forecaster Glaiza Escullar said in a telephone interview. The nation’s highest storm alert of 4 may be reached in the provinces on the storm’s path while the capital may deal with a signal number 3 cyclone, Escullar said.

Local governments have been directed to immediately evacuate residents in coastal areas and to mobilize search and rescue teams in places prone to landslides and flash floods, Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas said in a statement. Disaster-response troops, equipment and supplies have been put in place in areas threatened by a possible “super typhoon,” police Senior Superintendent Theodore Sindac said.

The Philippines, battered by about 20 cyclones a year, topped a list of 10 countries most affected by natural disasters in 2012 with more than 2,000 deaths, according to a report by the Brussels-based Centre for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters. Monsoon rains swamped more than half of the Metro Manila region in August, killing at least 27 and shutting offices and financial markets for two days.

Sustained Winds
The U.S. Joint Typhoon Warning Center forecasts super typhoon Haiyan’s maximum sustained winds at 135 knots (250 kilometers) per hour and gusts of up to 306 kilometers per hour. Tropical cyclone Odette (Usagi), the world’s strongest storm this year had wind gusts of as much as 245 kilometers per hour, according to Taiwan’s Central Weather Bureau on Sept. 20.

Local governments in Bohol province where more than 200 people were killed after a 7.2-magnitude earthquake on Oct. 15 will move residents still living in tents and makeshift shelters in open areas to alternative evacuation sites, said Flor Gaviola from the provincial civil defense unit.

Classes Suspended
Ahead of the storm, Bohol and Cebu, which was also rocked by last month’s tremor, suspended classes on Nov. 7 and 8, the education department said on its Twitter account. Albay Governor Joey Salceda, in his Facebook account, said offices and schools in the province will be shut starting tomorrow.

Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) killed more than 400 people when it swamped Manila and parts of Luzon in 2009. Storm Sendong (Washi) killed more than 1,200 people, mostly in Mindanao, in December 2011. At least 222 died in the Oct. 15 earthquake in the Visayas.

Among the strongest typhoons to have crossed the Philippines is storm Reming (Durian) in 2006 with gusts of up to 320 kilometers per hour, according to the weather bureau. Odette (Usagi), which mainly hit the Batanes islands in northern Philippines, killed at least 3.--Source: Bloomberg Business Week/Photo image courtesy of AccuWeather.com

Chavit Singson's daughter defends self over shooting of endemic ducks in PH

Former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson and his daughter Richelle have defended their hunting of the rare and endemic Philippine Ducks, which has drawn intense criticism from the birding community, by claiming in a statement that the killings of the protected species occurred overseas.

"The photo was not even taken in the Philippines. I had to take the photo down because of the influx of comments that were very mean to my family, even to my one-year-old son," said Richelle Singson-Michael in a statement emailed to GMA News Online, which broke the story on Monday and published the photos of the Singson father and daughter showing off about a dozen carcasses of the birds.

She added in her email that her statement was approved by her father.

She had posted the pictures on both her Facebook and Instagram accounts, where bird watchers quickly pointed out that killing the birds was a crime.

Richelle declined to name the country where she and her father, an avid hunter, shot the birds.

However, in a comment underneath the photos on her Facebook page, she had earlier revealed that the killings occurred "somewhere in Ilocos." The photos have been deleted from her timeline, but the screengrab is posted (below), with her comment highlighted.

Orange crowns and other distinctive features mark the birds as unmistakable Philippine Ducks. "The ducks have stripes across the eyes a la Cleopatra. Girls describe it as eyeliners," said Mike Lu, a former president of the Wild Bird Club of the Philippines.

According to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Philippine Ducks, or Mallards (Anas luzonica), is an endemic species, meaning it is found only in the Philippines, although so-called "vagrants," or individual birds, can sometimes get lost and end up in neighboring countries.

However, it would have been impossible for the Singsons to shoot that many Philippine Ducks anywhere else but the Philippines, according to wildlife biologist Carmela Española of the University of the Philippines' Institute of Biology.

"They don't occur in those numbers elsewhere," said Española, who has seen the photos of the Singsons with the dead birds. "It's a big loss. Very little is known about their ecology and population. There is nothing published about their breeding."

According to the IUCN, as long ago as 2002, fewer than 10,000 of the birds were believed to remain in the world.

"This duck is listed as Vulnerable," states the IUCN, "because it is undergoing a rapid and continuing decline owing to extensive over-hunting and the widespread conversion of its wetland habitats."

The Wildlife Protection Act prohibits the "killing and destroying of wildlife species, except when it is done as part of the religious rituals of established tribal groups or indigenous cultural communities."

On Tuesday, the Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau said it would launch an investigation into the reported hunting of wild ducks, which is illegal in the Philippines.

The Singsons insist that they did not break any laws.

"We definitely do not think that we are above the law. My Dad always taught us that the law is there for a reason, to be respected and obeyed," Richelle said in her statement.

"My Dad is an animal lover... He is a good Dad and leads a good example in telling his kids right from wrong. He would never promote anything illegal even for bonding purposes," she added.--Source: Howie Severino/ China Jocson/ YA, GMA News

'Freak' six-tailed asteroid baffles scientists

An unusual asteroid, described by NASA as "weird and freakish", has been spotted by Hubble spewing six streams of material like a lawn sprinkler in space.

Six-tailed asteroid baffles scientists

The mysterious rock, located in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, was seen spewing matter from its surface by the telescope on September 10. Then in a second image taken on September 23 the asteroid, dubbed P/2013 P5, appeared to have swung around significantly.

Professor David Jewitt – of the Department of Earth and Space Sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles – told The Register that the appearance of the asteroid is unique, and the team has some ideas of how it came to exhibit such unusual characteristics.

"One idea was that we were seeing ice on the asteroid outgassing, but the object is too hot, around 170 Kelvin, for ice," he explained. "An impact with the asteroid was discussed but that would leave one large plume, not six."

The prevailing theory now is that the asteroid is being spun around so quickly that it is breaking apart under the strain of its own rotation. The spin is probably the result of hundreds of thousands of years of slight pressure from solar emissions.

Stars like our Sun emit protons and radiation that can push against objects in its heliosphere, and for asteroids of a certain shape these emissions cause rotation. Since the pressure from the Sun is constant, and space is virtually frictionless, then asteroids can spin faster and faster until they disintegrate.

This YORP effect (named after the four scientists who contributed to the theory: Yarkovsky, O'Keefe, Radzievskii, and Paddack) has been suggested as a reason for the relative paucity of small, asymmetrical objects within our Solar System in comparison to rounder rocks, and the search is now on for more observations of the theory in action.

"In astronomy, where you find one, you eventually find a whole bunch more," Prof Jewitt said. "This is an amazing object and almost certainly the first of many more to come."®--Source; The Register

Hong Kong visa-free access to Pinoys to be scrapped

Hong Kong lawmakers voted to pass a non-binding motion by People Power’s Albert Chan Wai-yip calling on the government to impose sanctions on the Philippines in connection with the 2010 Manila hostage killings, the South China Morning Post reported yesterday.

Hong Kong visa-free access to Pinoys to be scrapped

The legislature also voted by 41 to three, with seven abstentions, in favor of former security chief Regina Ip Lau Suk-yee’s amendment calling for the visa-free access for Filipino citizens to be scrapped.

A further amendment by Chan’s partymate Raymond Chan Chi-chuen calling for restrictions on Filipino maids was withdrawn after Ip’s resolution was passed.

Hong Kong Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying earlier this week warned that he would impose sanctions if Manila failed to meet the demands of the families of the eight Hong Kong citizens killed by gunman Rolando Mendoza and the seven people injured in the bus siege in a botched rescue attempt.

The demands include an apology by President Aquino, compensation to the families, and the adoption of corrective safety measures by the Philippine government.

Communication lines open

Malacañang said the government would keep communication lines open with Hong Kong as it urged everyone to remain calm amid the lawmakers’ vote to impose economic sanctions on the Philippines.

“Our position remains the same: both sides are working quietly to address these concerns and reach a mutually satisfactory conclusion,” Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Herminio Coloma said in a press briefing yesterday.

Coloma said it should not follow that with a “mutually satisfactory conclusion,” Manila would also bar Hong Kong tourists from entering the country without a visa.

He urged overseas Filipino workers in Hong Kong not to be disturbed because the government would help them, given the situation.

“Their interest and welfare are not forgotten and we will continue to do what is right to protect their interests,” Coloma said.

Asked if the Palace was dismayed with the sanctions against Manila for refusing to apologize, Coloma said the “continued pursuit of this objective, which is to achieve the solution being mutually worked upon,” was the main concern.

“We are very focused and we are determined (to) achieve this,” Coloma said. --Source: Philstar news

It's like a movie: People walk like zombies to look for food

One of the most powerful storms recorded killed at least 10,000 people in the central Philippines, a senior police official said on Sunday, with huge waves sweeping away entire coastal villages and devastating the region's main city.

Survivors walk on a road after super Typhoon Yolanda battered Tacloban City in central Philippines Friday.
Survivors walk on a road after super Typhoon Yolanda battered
Tacloban City in central Philippines Friday.

Super typhoon Yolanda (international name: Haiyan) destroyed about 70 to 80 percent of the area in its path as it tore through Leyte province on Friday, said police chief superintendent Elmer Soria.

As rescue workers struggled to reach ravaged villages along the coast, where the death toll is as yet unknown, survivors foraged for food as supplies dwindled or searched for lost loved ones.

"People are walking like zombies looking for food," said Jenny Chu, a medical student in Leyte. "It's like a movie."

Most of the deaths appear to have been caused by surging sea water strewn with debris that many described as similar to a tsunami, leveling houses and drowning hundreds of people in one of the worst natural disasters to hit the typhoon-prone Southeast Asian nation.

The national government and disaster agency have not confirmed the latest estimate of deaths, a sharp increase from initial estimates on Saturday of at least 1,000 killed by storm whose sustained winds reached 195 miles per hour (313 km per hour) with gusts of up to 235 mph (378 kph).

"We had a meeting last night with the governor and the other officials. The governor said, based on their estimate, 10,000 died," Soria told Reuters. "The devastation is so big."

More than 330,900 people were displaced and 4.3 million "affected" by the typhoon in 36 provinces, the U.N.'s humanitarian agency said, as relief agencies called for food, water and tarpaulins for the homeless.

Witnesses and officials described chaotic scenes in Leyte's capital, Tacloban, a coastal city of 220,000 about 580 km (360 miles) southeast of Manila, with hundreds of bodies piled on the sides of roads and pinned under wrecked houses.

The city lies in a cove where the seawater narrows, making it susceptible to storm surges.

The city and nearby villages as far as one kilometer (just over half a mile) from shore were flooded, leaving floating bodies and roads choked with debris from fallen trees, tangled power lines and flattened homes. TV footage showed children clinging to rooftops for their lives.

Many Internet users urged prayers and called for aid for survivors in the largely Roman Catholic nation on social media sites such as Twitter.

"From a helicopter, you can see the extent of devastation. From the shore and moving a kilometer inland, there are no structures standing. It was like a tsunami," said Interior Secretary Manuel Roxas, who had been in Tacloban since before the typhoon struck the city.

"I don't know how to describe what I saw. It's horrific."

LOOTERS TAKE WHAT THEY CAN

Mila Ward, an Australian citizen and Filipino by birth who was in Leyte on vacation visiting her family, said she saw hundreds of bodies on the streets.

"They were covered with blankets, plastic. There were children and women," she said.

Six people were killed and dozens wounded during heavy winds and storms in central Vietnam as Yolanda approached the coast, state media reported, even though it had weakened substantially since hitting the Philippines.

Vietnam authorities have moved 883,000 people in 11 central provinces to safe zones, according to the government's website. Despite weakening, the storm is likely to cause heavy rains, flooding, strong winds and mudslides as it makes its way north in the South China Sea.

Looters rampaged through several stores in Tacloban, witnesses said, taking whatever they could find as rescuers' efforts to deliver food and water were hampered by severed roads and communications.

"They are taking everything, even appliances like TV sets. These will be traded later on for food," said Tecson John Lim, the Tacloban city administrator.

"We don't have enough manpower. We have 2,000 employees but only about 100 are reporting for work. Everyone is attending to their families."

Lim said city officials had so far only collected 300-400 bodies, but believed the death toll in the city alone could be 10,000.

International aid agencies said relief efforts in the Philippines are stretched thin after a 7.2 magnitude quake in central Bohol province last month and displacement caused by a conflict with Muslim rebels in southern Zamboanga province.

The World Food Program said it was airlifting 40 tons of high-energy biscuits, enough to feed 120,000 people for a day, as well as emergency supplies and telecommunications equipment.

Tacloban city airport was all but destroyed as seawaters swept through the city, shattering the glass of the airport tower, leveling the terminal and overturning nearby vehicles.

A Reuters reporter saw five bodies inside a chapel near the airport, placed on pews.

Airport manager Efren Nagrama, 47, said water levels rose up to four meters (13 feet).

"It was like a tsunami. We escaped through the windows and I held on to a pole for about an hour as rain, seawater and wind swept through the airport," he said. "Some of my staff survived by clinging to trees. I prayed hard all throughout until the water subsided."-- Source: Manny Mogato, Reuters/Photo by Erik De Castro, Reuters -- (Additional reporting by Rosemarie Francisco; Editing by Jason Szep and Nick Macfie)

Even celebrities and politicians were not spared from Super Typhoon Yolanda (international name Haiyan) when it wreaked havoc in the Visayan region of central Philippines over the weekend.

This celebrity/politician even had to borrow underwear from other people.

Former actress and now Tacloban City councilor Cristina Gonzales-Romualdez and her husband, Mayor Alfred Romualdez, were among the people who survived a storm surge caused by the typhoon scientists said was the strongest storm to ever hit the planet.

Kring Kring tells her ordeal in a media interview

The Romualdez family lives in a house facing the Pacific Ocean.

Gonzales said around 6 a.m. Friday, they experienced strong winds and heavy rains that uprooted trees near their house.

A few minutes later, water started entering their house.

"We were just floating, I was holding on to my kids," she added.

As the water rose, people inside the house had to stand on top of tables to avoid getting swept away by the water.

They punched holes through the ceiling and to stay alive as the water continued to rise.

“We had to stay inside the cemented area to avoid being pushed into the open sea, because once you get pushed into the open sea, wala na," Gonzales said.

She is thankful that they survived the ordeal.

After the typhoon, she said that it broke her heart when she learned how her constituents suffered from the typhoon.

Gonzales also said that she even had to borrow underwear from other people. Her husband was given a pair of pants that were believed to have come from the looted shopping mall in the city.

Gonzales denied allegations that the city government was not prepared for typhoon Yolanda.

She said they implemented preemptive evacuations 3 days before the typhoon hit, and relief goods were prepositioned in different parts of the city.

Gonzales also believes that the looting in the city was done out of desperation.

She will return to the city hall Tuesday to help her constituents and give needed relief goods to the victims. Source: ABS-CBN News

A viral video claiming that super typhoon “Yolanda” (international name Haiyan) which battered the Philippines and left 10,000 dead was a man-made disaster has been making the rounds in the internet.

Microwave pulses coming from "up north" in Japan generates cyclones, making the water evaporate and accumulate in a particular area.
Microwave pulses coming from "up north" in Japan generates cyclones,
making the water evaporate and accumulate in a particular area.

The man behind the video, who only identified himself as Dutchsinse, demonstrated in the video his hypothesis that “Haiyan / Yolanda” was caused by a technology that emits microwave pulses.

Calling the technology a "weaponized weather," Dutchsinse said a microwave pulse generates cyclones, making the water evaporate and accumulate in a particular area.

The video showed how the microwave pulses were transmitted from "up north in Japan," citing the microwave pulse also did the same thing in the 7.2 magnitude earthquake which hit Bohol, central Philippines.

There were previous studies on a similar topic, referred to as “climate engineering,” where scientists inject aerosols and sulfur into the atmosphere where they could control the climate in any particular region, and of course, "cloud-seeding" to create rain.

North Korea executes 80 for watching foreign videos

Eighty people have been executed by firing squad in North Korea for watching foreign films, according to a newspaper report.

North Korea's Kim Jong Un inspects a gun while his generals watch
South Korea’s JoongAng Ilbo newspaper reported that the co-ordinated public executions took place in seven separate cities earlier this month.

In one case, the local authorities rounded up 10,000 people, including children, and forced them to watch, it reported.

Those put to death were found guilty by the state of minor misdemeanours, including watching videos of South Korean television programmes or possessing a Bible.

Sources told the paper that witnesses saw eight people tied to stakes in the Shinpoong Stadium, in Kangwon Province, before having sacks placed over their heads and being executed by soldiers firing machine guns.

“I heard from the residents that they watched in terror as the corpses were so riddled by machine gunfirethat they were hard to identify afterwards,” the source said.

Relatives and friends of the victims were reportedly sent to prison camps, a tactic that North Korea frequently uses to dissuade anyone from breaking the law.

“Reports on public executions across the country would be certain to have a chilling effect on the rest of the people,” Daniel Pinkston, a North Korea analyst with The International Crisis Group in Seoul, said. “All these people want to do is to survive and for their families to survive. The incentives for not breaking the law are very clear now.”

The mass executions could signal a broader crackdown on any hints of discontent among the population — and even rival groups in Pyongyang — against the rule of Kim Jong-un, who came to power after the death of his father in December 2011.

In a new report, the Rand Corporation think tank claims that Kim survived an assassination attempt in 2012 and that his personal security has since been stepped up dramatically. The report concurs with South Korean intelligence sources that stated in March that a faction within the North Korean army had been involved in an attempt on Kim’s life in November of last year.--© Copyright (c) The Daily Telegraph

A photo of two girls selling lemonade drinks in the US to help victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda (international name: Haiyan) in the Philippines had spread in the internet recently, hitting thousands of likes in the different social media.

The photo was taken by YouScooper Shekinah Eden Pugh who was driving down the street in Studio City, Los Angeles, California where she saw the two kids selling lemonade on the street last November 11.

Photo of 'lemonade girls' for Yolanda victims goes viral in social media

"I was driving down my street on my way to a meeting... when i happened to look to my right and see these two precious little girls selling lemonade," Pugh said.

The stand would have been like any other lemonade stand and the two girls would have thought of selling lemonade and iced tea as any other activity.

However, this business they set up was different.

A sign attached on the table said "Lemonade Ice Tea To Help Typhoon Families."

The kids were selling lemonade and ice tea to neighbors and passersby. The profit they earn will be given to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda.

"And then i saw their sign, and it hit me like a ton of bricks and made me start crying. These two precious little girls were standing out there selling lemonade and ice tea to help the typhoon families, a cause very dear to my heart," Pugh said.

When she saw the two girls selling drinks for a good cause, she became emotional.

"It just restored my faith in humanity, that there are still people out there, young children, who love the way we are supposed to love, who are kind and thoughtful, and selfless," Pugh added.

Pugh stopped by twice; each time, she donated money. At her second visit, she took the photo of them alongside the stand, posing with pride.

Thereafter, Pugh shared the photo with YouScoop, the citizen journalism arm of GMA News. The photo went viral.

As of this posting, the photo gained 10,244 likes and 5,847 shares on Facebook. The photo also has 452 retweets and 329 favorites on Twitter.--Source: GMA7

James Edward Moore II, 32, was arrested by members of the city police’s tourist protection unit who responded to a report of domestic violence at the couple’s Amorsolo Tower Condominium unit in Barangay Poblacion at around 4:30 p.m., said Senior Inspector Gaylord Tamayo, deputy chief of the city police’s criminal investigation division.

Police officers said the 28-year-old Baniqued-Moore was pronounced dead due to head injuries by Dr. Ma. Lourdes Suntay at the Makati Medical Center at past 6 p.m.

The model reportedly said her husband of four years frequently beat her, a friend of the victim told ABS-CBN.

The friend, identified only as Anna, said Baniqued-Moore’s niece Cristina Rose and personal assistant Marvin Sunga claimed they saw Moore banging his wife’s head against the wall, ABS-CBN reported.

Cristina Rose and Sunga said Moore reportedly handcuffed his wife. They said they were able to free her, but Moore caught his wife near the condominium elevator and beat her again.

Moore then allegedly tried to slit his throat. Police officers brought him to the Ospital ng Makati, where he remains under guard.

A United States-based website, www.ksl.com, said the incident left Moore’s five-year-old son, who was visiting his father, in the care of an orphanage.

Moore’s ex-wife, Amber Seddon, said the boy has been with his father since September and was supposed to stay in the Philippines until Christmas.

Seddon, who lives in Santaquin, Utah, said she received a phone call from her ex-husband following the incident. She said he asked for forgiveness, threatened to kill himself, then hung up.

Seddon’s father is planning to fly to the Philippines and take his grandson home.--Source: Philstar

Google wins US book-scanning lawsuit

Google won an eight-year old legal battle over book-scanning when a US judge on Thursday ruled that the technology giant "did not impact the rights of copyright holders," and instead proved to be "beneficial to the society".

Google wins US book-scanning lawsuit

Google’s idea to scan millions of books and make them searchable online seemed audacious when it was announced in 2004. But fast-forward to today, when people expect to find almost anything they want online, and the plan seems like an unsurprising and unavoidable part of today’s Internet.

So when a judge on Thursday dismissed a lawsuit that authors had filed against Google after countless delays, it had the whiff of inevitability. Even the judge, Denny Chin of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, said during a September hearing on the case that his law clerks used Google Books for research.

“It advances the progress of the arts and sciences, while maintaining respectful consideration for the rights of authors and other creative individuals, and without adversely impacting the rights of copyright holders,” Judge Chin wrote in his ruling. “Indeed, all society benefits.” (Judge Chin handled the case in district court because he was a judge there when it began.)

The Authors Guild said it disagreed with the decision and planned to appeal. Google said it was “delighted” with the outcome.

Google began its book-scanning project in 2004, without obtaining permission from copyright holders. The next year, groups representing authors and publishers sued Google claiming copyright violations, beginning an eight-year court battle.

In the meantime, Google has continued to scan more than 20 million books, the majority of which are out of print, without compensating copyright holders. They are searchable on the Google Books website, which returns snippets but not entire texts. Some full books are for sale on Google Play through partnerships with publishers. Google also has certain agreements to give libraries and publishers digital copies of their books that it scans.

The ruling examined whether Google’s use of copyrighted works counted as so-called fair use under copyright law, which Judge Chin determined it did. The decision opened the door for other companies to also scan books.

Google’s book search is transformative, he wrote, because “words in books are being used in a way they have not been used before.” It does not replace books, he wrote, because Google does not allow people to read entire books online. It takes security measures, like not showing one out of every 10 pages in each book, to prevent people from trying to do so.--Source: The New York Times

Korina Sanchez suspended, gets the 'How dare you' big screen from CNN

ABS-CBN news anchor Korina Sanchez was reportedly suspended for a week for her criticism of a CNN reporter's coverage on the absence of government officials in Tacloban City during the super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) aftermath.

'How dare you' big screen from CNN

The rumors of Sanchez's suspension followed after netizens posted a barrage of social media rants against her.

In a blog from Yahoo News, it said Sanchez was noticeably absent from the primetime news program since Thursday, Nov. 14. Her last appearance on the newscast was when she reported live from Ormoc City to check on relief efforts.

She was in Ormoc obviously to respond to Cooper’s dare that she visit Tacloban to assess the situation herself and that she could easily do it being the “Interior Minister’s wife.” Cooper’s challenge came as his response to Korina’s comments. Of course, Cooper’s CNN desk defended its prized expert journalist in disaster-stricken locations calling Korina’s observations “inaccurate” and “bizarre.”

Below is the CNN’s episode “The World Lead”, where a photo of Korina Sanchez was flashed on its big screen accompanied with a caption “How dare you, CNN?".

The feud between the two news anchors started when Sanchez made a comment on her morning radio show DZMM about the report coverage of CNN anchor Anderson Cooper.

In Cooper's report, he said there’s “No evidence of organized relief and rescue operation around Tacloban. I haven’t seen much of relief effort, I haven’t seen a large military presence.”

Korina Sanchez slammed the report and said Cooper “doesn’t know what he is talking about.”

In response, Cooper said, “Miss Sanchez is welcome to go there and urge to go there. I don’t know if she has but her husband is in-charge I’m sure she can arrange her flight.”
