Workers in the National Capital Region (NCR) get their summer treat after the regional wage board approved the wage hike amounting to P15.
The increase in their salary would make them earn a total of P481 per day or at least P10, 582 (based on a 22-day workmonth).
The new minimum wage rate will cover all minimum wage earners in the private sector in the National Capital Region regardless of their position, designation or status of employment and irrespective of method of payment.
According to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the new daily minimum wage rate will take effect by April or 15 working days after the publication of the wage order in a national newspaper.
The previous minimum wage hike is at P466 per day or P10, 252 per month (based on a 22-day workmonth).
