Top WWE wrestler and MMA fighter Batista is reportedly joining the cast of a Marvel sci-fi adventure movie, scheduled for release in August 2014.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Fil-American wrestler will be joining actor Chris Pratt in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” which will be produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
Batista will play villain as Drax the Destroyer, while Pratt will take the role of the movie's protagonist Peter Quill.
The film centers on Quill, a US pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons.
Other actors reportedly being eyed for casting are Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Benicio del Toro, John C. Reilly and Glenn Close.
The film will be directed by James Gunn.
The last time Batista appeared in a movie was when he played the villain Brass Body in “The Man with the Iron Fists.”
Batista is also scheduled to appear with Vin Diesel in "Riddick," which opens on September 6.--Source: ABS-CBN News
