Facebook will soon be screening posts and messages that shows too much promotional content and ads on the News Feeds.
The move came after several Facebook users had complained there were a lot of advertisements "disguising" themselves as messages that constantly appear in their feeds, mostly coming from individuals and companies they follow via Facebook Pages.
When implemented, this means that those with free Facebook Pages will soon have a hard time sending their posts with "promo contents" to those who already "liked" their pages.
In a statement, the social network has created new criteria for ads that will be screened, as follows:
1. Posts that solely push people to buy a product or install an app
2. Posts that push people to enter promotions and sweepstakes with no real context
3. Posts that reuse the exact same content from ads
