Filipino-Australian singer-actor Chris Cayzer,  who nearly made it to the Top 12 of "The X Factor Australia" last year, was detained Thursday for an alleged attempt to break into two condominium units in Barangay Hulo, Mandaluyong City.

Chris Cayzer nabbed for alleged trespassing

According to one of the unit's owners, Cayzer tried to enter their home at around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Mandaluyong City police chief, Senior Superintendent Florendo Quibuyen, told Bulletin Entertainment that Cayzer, whose real name is Christopher Ashley Luke Araneta Cayzer, "forcibly" opened the door of two rooms, where his friend resides nearby.

“Allegedly, itong si Chris nga, pumasok sa dalawang units. So, hindi natin alam kung anong purpose niya kung nagkamali lang siya ng pasok kasi may kaibigan siya du’n eh. Hindi natin alam kung sinasadya niya o kung intentional ‘yun o nagkamali lang siya ng pasok,” he explained.

He added that the singer did not seem intoxicated during police interrogation “kasi nakakausap naman ng matino.”

One of the complainants filed a physical injury suit against Cayzer after being hurt as she jostled the singer out of the room. Residents at the other unit, where a maid and children are staying, did the same. The incident is said to have traumatized the kids, for which Cayzer was charged for violating the Republic 7610 or Anti Child Abuse Law.

In a separate report on “Unang Hirit,” the actor admitted that he was drunk when those things happened. He further apologized for his “mistakes.”

“Actually, hindi ko nga maalala ‘yon pero...I would never hurt anybody.

“I hope those family who were affected are okay. I hope they are all fine and I sincerely apologize to everyone out there, and you know of course as a person I have to admit my mistakes," the 26-year-old singer said.--Source: Manila Bulletin
