The Philippine Women's University, Quezon City Campus-Jose Abad Santos Memorial School (popularly known as PWUQC-JASMS) located along EDSA will be sporting a new look by mid-2016.
Businessman Eusebio "Yosi" Tanco, who recently purchased 40% interest in PWU from the Benitez family, said his i-Academy and STI corporations will be partnering with Ayala Land Inc. to convert the 2.1-hectare property into a mixed use development area to house the JASMS school, a two-tower residential condominium and a neighborhood mall.
The two residential towers will be built by Ayala Land, the community mall also to be constructed by Ayala Land under a lease agreement, and the school to be put up by the STI group, according to Tanco.
The new JASMS school will occupy around 2,000-3,000 square meters (sq.m.), while the residential and retail components will occupy around 4,000 sq.m. and 8,000 sq.m., respectively, he said.
Groundbreaking will take place “in a couple of months,” with the project expected to be complete within “one and a half years,” he added.
The whole redevelopment project will cost around P2 billion to P3 billion. (Source: BusinessWorld)
