The popular Terminator film franchise will be resurrected in a new stand-alone trilogy, with the first installment expected to open in theatres on June 2015, Hollywood studio Paramount Pictures said.

Hollywood film studio Paramount Pictures announced Thursday that it will work with Skydance Productions and Annapurna Pictures to release a new “Terminator” film on June 26, 2015.
“Shutter Island” screenwriter Laeta Kalorgridis and Patrick Lussier, who co-wrote “Drive Angry”, have been tasked with writing the script for the film.
The new “Terminator” movie will be the first in a new “Terminator” film trilogy that will reboot the franchise.
The announcement did not mention who will appear in the new “Terminator” film.
However, 65-year-old US actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who had starred in the first three “Terminator” movies, said he will “star as the Terminator” in the new film, while he was in Australia last month for a speaking engagement.--Source: Channel News Asia
