DC Comics - home to popular superheroes like Batman, Superman, and the Green Lantern - has added single issues to Google Play.
The publisher's periodicals will now be released weekly on the digital platform.
DC Entertainment’s Hank Kanalz told CNET:
"Our Google customers were happy, but kept asking for our single issues. As you can imagine, this takes some work, so we wanted to build the infrastructure internally first, before rolling out."
DC and Vertigo collections and original graphic novels are already available on Google Play.
The change means that the entirety of DC’s catalog will be brought to Google’s storefront, with weekly updates every Wednesday in line with the print industry.
DC Comics will still be available on Kindle, iBooks, Nook and the dedicated Comixology app.--Source: Digital Spy/BGR
