"Bang Bang Alley," Ely Buendia's first movie directorial job, hits the big screen soon.
It's summer time in the city. And of course, any die-hard fans of third generation action films will surely want to see this movie up close and personal.
The film, which premiered in UP Film Institute’s Cine Adarna months ago, will be the the first feature film for rock icon Ely Buendia -- who has already proved himself as both an artist and storyteller.
Co-directing with Ely are also master visionaries in their own right; musician/actor/playwright Yan Yuzon and award-winning corporate and music video director King Palisoc.
SYNOPSIS
Aso’t Pusa’t Daga (Yan Yuzon): a young journalist (Bela Padilla) survives a political massacre and prepares to testify against the perpetrators — played by a provincial governor (Joel Torre), an unusually bright politician, and the commander of the private army that engineered the massacre.
Makina (King Palisoc): It tells the story of Emman (Gabe Mercado), a driver for a home-service massage company. One evening, Emman gets involved in a traffic accident, an incident that snowballs and spins out of control.
Pusakal (Ely Buendia): Miss World 2013 Megan Young plays Abbey, a drugged-out rich kid forced to flee to Benguet after committing a crime, and there develops an unlikely friendship with an old lady, played by Perla Bautista, whose quiet existence masks a turbulent past.
Ely shares his thoughts:
"Working on my first film made me realize that it really is something that I love doing. It also involves music, design, acting. Lahat ng art form na puwede mong gawin, nandito. So that for me is very fulfilling and interesting and I always like to learn new stuff,"
