The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is advising the public to prepare for a heavy traffic in EDSA and Metro Manila this weekend, says the agency's advisory Thursday.
The MMDA said the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will undertake road reblocking and repairs on some parts of the metro as part of its maintenance projects.
The DPWH repairs will be from 10 p.m. of February 28 (Friday) until 5 a.m. of March 3 (Monday)
Listed below are the following areas:
Ø Along EDSA between Magsaysay Street and New York Street (1st Lane, Southbound), Quezon City.
Ø Along EDSA between Pantaleon Street and Mayon Street (Southbound, Outer Lane), Mandaluyong City.
Ø Along EDSA between Don Ang Street and Evangelista Street / Arellano Street and Concepcion Street (Northbound, Lane 1), Caloocan City.
The MMDA also advised motorists to use alternate routes.
All roads will be fully passable by Monday morning, the MMDA said. --Source: Philstar
