Power Mac Center, the official Apple partner in the Philippines, has announced that it will be offering the Same Unit Repair program for fourth-gen iPhones and up, just like in the United States and other first-tier countries.

Yes, your iPhone can now be OFFICIALLY repaired here in the Philippines

That means iPhone owners can have their units repaired in the Philippines at no cost by no less than Apple-trained professionals with Apple-certified parts and tools and ready for claiming within 72 hours.

By contrast, a replacement unit shipped from Apple in Singapore can take three weeks or even as long as a month to arrive.

The program is open to devices that are still under warranty in the country—it's a yes even for units bought from online retailers—but limited to the main camera, vibration motor, speaker, battery, display, and back cover, among other basic components.

Apple's standard coverage for iPhones is one year from the date of original retail purchase or the date when the reseller that sold you the iPhone bought the unit from an Apple distributor. You may review your device's warranty status by clicking HERE.

The Apple Authorized Service Provider reserves the right to refuse "jailbroken" iPhones and those with heavy cosmetic damage. Its repair program also does not apply to iPhones from both Smart and Globe. Still, anyone with a defective iPhone, regardless of model or service eligibility, can have his or her device serviced by a Power Mac Center specialist; however, the repair will be subject to fees. --Source: Yahoo News
