The Flappy Bird app will be removed from the App Store within the day, as its developer Dong Nguyen posted on his Twitter account that he is "taking down" Flappy Bird. His reason? He "cannot take (it) anymore."
Just days after the news hit the web saying that the Flappy Bird ad revenues were said to be raking in more than $50,000 a day, Vietnamese indie game developer Dong Nguyen announced he will be removing the app permanently.
Nguyen posted these on his Twitter account:
I am sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down. I cannot take this anymore.
— Dong Nguyen (@dongatory) February 8, 2014
It is not anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore.
— Dong Nguyen (@dongatory) February 8, 2014
I also don't sell 'Flappy Bird', please don't ask.
— Dong Nguyen (@dongatory) February 8, 2014
And I still make games.

Maybe the Flappy Bird creator cannot deal with the publicity, but with any sudden unexplainable announcement like this, many assumptions are sure to surface. Although he has stated that the removal is not for legal purposes, we can’t help but to think that there must be underlying reasons for this strange activity.
What makes this even more shocking is the fact that the game was updated one day prior to this announcement. There’s also the question of why Nguyen would rather pull the app than sell it or at least leave it in the App Store for the time being. Perhaps he’s not interested in working on the game anymore, but the event of Flappy Bird’s removal is sure to confuse and frustrate many iOS users.
With that said, if you have been thinking about downloading Flappy Bird for free, do it now while you have the chance. It is still available in the App Store for free.--Source: App Advice
