Toyota issued an order to stop selling several of it's top selling models over concerns the seats don't meet fire resistant guidelines.
The stop sell order affects the 2013 and 2013 Camry, Avalon, Sienna, and Tacoma. The 2014 Corolla and Tundra are also affected.
As many as 36,000 vehicles currently on dealers lots could be included in the stop sell order. Tens of thousands of recently sold vehicles would be affected as well.
The stop sell order only affects vehicles sold with the option for heated seats.
The automaker released a statement Thursday reading in part: "In involved vehicles, the seat heater, which is a small portion of the soft materials of the seat assembly, does not meet a provision of the U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) requiring materials to retard flame at a specified rate."--Source: KTVU
