Jazz pianist and composer David Benoit plays his most requested songs tonight at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in the benefit concert "Heal Our Land" to raise funds for the survivors of typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).

The 60-year old musician composed numerous tracks doing solo performances and sometimes collaborating with top artists like Kenny Loggins, Patti Austin, Faith Hill, Brian McKnight, and the Walt Disney Co.

A former member of "The Rippingtons" and holder of five Grammy Awards, Benoit is currently the music director for the Asia America Symphony and the Asia America Youth Orchestra.

Joining him in the concert are former Ambrosia vocalist David Pack, keyboardist Brian Simpson, American saxophonist and singer Jessy J, percussionist Richie “Gajate” Garcia, and guitarist-singer Ray Parker, Jr.

Saxophonist Michael Paulo, pianist-singer-songwriter Spencer Day, pianists Gregg Karukas, Freddie Schreuders, Eric Valentine, and Nate Phillips of the LA All-Star Band.

The concert will also feature local artists like Sitti, Side A, South Border, Free Style, Mulatto, Zoo, True Faith, Chad Borja and Thor Dulay.

Proceeds of the concert shall benefit ABS-CBN Corp.’s Sagip Kapamilya Foundation, and Gawad Kalinga.
