Vocalist Papa Dom of popular reggae band "Tropical Depression" died Wednesday, according to the Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM).

Dominic Gamboa in real life, the cheerful vocalist of the '90s reggae band Tropical Depression, died Wednesday afternoon, but the family has yet to disclose the cause of the singer's death.
Gamboa popularized the reggae sound in the local music industry when he founded "Tropical Depression" in the 1990's, incorporating Philippine indigenous instruments with its music.
They produced four albums for over two decades between 1993 to 2004, including their hit album, "Kapayapaan."
Tropical Depression was also composed of Pexx Holigores, Lito Crisostomo, TJ Espinola, Mike Llacar, Omnie Saroca, and Lala Lejeune.
