The long awaited nuptials was held at Lourdes Church in Tagaytay, with the reception at Hacienda Isabella.
Gonzalez is the son of celebrity chef Gene Gonzalez, while Cojuangco is the daughter of businessman Peping Cojuangco and former Tarlac governor Tingting Cojuangco.
The couple have a four-month-old daughter named Lucia Margaret Ysabel.
According to a Philstar lifestyle article, they first met when she enrolled in the Gonzalez family-owned culinary school around seven years ago. After she graduated, "everything just fell into place.”
Gino says: “That pretty face caught my attention and we would have good conversations because we are the same age and I guess we have a lot of common friends. Which is why it is surprising that I only met her when we were already in our late 20s. We both love to travel, to explore new places (both expensive and hole- in-the-wall places). She knows quite a lot about cars and a lot more. Basically after she graduated from culinary school everything just fell into place.”China says: “Gino and I get along so well. We have the same interests and we complement and take care of each other. Timing also plays a vital role in a relationship. We are at the right age and stage of our lives wherein we both would like to settle down.”
Gonzalez and Cojuangco are both into cooking with Gonzales hosting his own TV show, "Chefscapades," and Cojuangco who used to host a cooking show called "My Favorite Recipes."
