The Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or number coding scheme implemented by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) remains suspended until further notice while enforcing the Alert Level 3 quarantine classification in Metro Manila from October 16 to October 31, 2021.

Yes, the MMDA number coding scheme is still suspended in NCR's Alert Level 3, but...



But, as always, the suspension of number coding does not cover Makati City, which has been implementing its own modified scheme.

MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos said that although the number of COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila is declining, public transportation is still not back to normal operation so it is not appropriate to re-implement number coding.
