The Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or number coding scheme implemented by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) remains suspended until further notice while enforcing the Alert Level 3 quarantine classification in Metro Manila from October 16 to October 31, 2021.
MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos said that although the number of COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila is declining, public transportation is still not back to normal operation so it is not appropriate to re-implement number coding.
