Hello Kitty, the sweet and business-savvy feline’s air merchandise, is coming to America.

The cute kitty air flights, already raking in a worldwide revenue of $5 billion a year, has plans to invade American soil on a Hello Kitty-themed plane.

Starting on Sept. 18, a Boeing 777 aircraft decked out with Hello Kitty headrests, snack boxes, toilet paper and much more will be flying from Taipei to Los Angeles three times every week.

Five Airbus A330 Hello Kitty jets are already flying over Asia, CNN reports, the result of a partnership between Taiwan’s EVA Air and the Japanese cartoon company Sanrio.

The cat will be featured front and center on boarding passes, baggage tags, and check-in kiosks. Inside the plane, nauseated passengers will be able to hold onto Hello Kitty airsickness bags for comfort. They’ll open their meal boxes to find cheese, butter, and vegetables shaped like Hello Kitty’s face or her most famous accessory, a tiny red hair bow.

And the bathrooms will feature Hello Kitty toiletries, making escaping from her presence virtually impossible.

Even the flight attendants will be outfitted with Hello Kitty aprons.

Sanrio created Hello Kitty in 1974, The New York Times reports. The first Kitty-themed planes took off in 2005.

Although the cute cat has become an international celebrity, she’s slowly losing her ranking as Japan’s top-grossing cartoon character.

According to Business Traveller, the 36-year-old Kitty is eyeing Europe as her next airline destination.--Source: NY Daily News
