The Makati City government has lifted the implementation of the number coding scheme and will last during the period of Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) or until April 30, according to a post from their official Facebook page.
Under Makati's previous number coding scheme, vehicles with plates that end with certain digits are not allowed to ply the roads of Makati City on certain days or else risk getting caught and fined by Makati traffic enforcers.
Meanwhile, the number coding scheme remains suspended in the National Capital Region.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) suspended the policy since the government implemented community quarantine lockdowns in Metro Manila amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
