The crowd were all cheering, then the host, Steve Harvey, suddenly realized he had made a terrible mistake -- misreading his cue card which listed the name of the winners.
At that moment, Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutiérrez, was already wearing the Miss Universe crown and was waving profusely at the audience, holding a bouquet of flowers with all glitter and glory.
It was also at this moment when Harvey re-appeared on the stage and said:
“O.K., folks, uh, there’s. ... I have to apologize.”
“The first runner-up is Colombia,”
“Miss Universe 2015 is Philippines,”
The actual winner, Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, looks in confusion and shock.
