A PREMIUM airport bus service will be available on the road within six months.
If you're familiar with Hong Kong, you'd know how the airport bus service works -- fetching you from the the airport to your destination in the city.
According to Inquirer.net, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) executive director Roberto Cabrera said on Monday that AirFreight 2100 Inc. will roll out half of the 44 units for the airport bus service which flight passengers can use for transportation from each of the three Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) terminals to a destination in Roxas Boulevard and the Makati Business District areas.
The next phase will be for the NAIA-Bonifacio Global City route, he added.
Here's what we know so far...
AMENITIES
The airport bus service will be more spacious than your ordinary bus and will only load up to 24 passengers so you'd have enough room for your luggage. They will be equipped with CCTV security cameras and a wireless Internet.
ROUTES
The buses will only have five designated off-street drop-off points to ensure a speedy travel time for the passengers. They will not be picking up passengers along the way as pick-up points will be held strictly at the airport terminals only.
BUS SCHEDULES AND FARES
The buses will run daily from 4 a.m. to 12 midnight, rolling out in 30-minute intervals on its first year of operations. Additional schedules will be set afterwards.
Fare for the bus service will be initially priced at P300 per passenger.
